WHO WE ARE
The Wolfgang Project is a creative intelligence company based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our cultural intelligence assessment at thewolfgangproject.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Assessment Data
When you take the quiz, we store your answers, profile results, and interaction data in your browser's local storage. This data does not leave your device unless you choose to engage further.
Conversation Data
If you proceed to speak with Case (our AI), your conversation is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. If Case determines a strong creative fit, we may send your conversation transcript and any contact information you voluntarily share (name, email, company, project details) to our team via email. This is the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to potential client enquiries.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for processing enquiries from potential clients who have actively engaged with our qualification process.
Portrait Photos
If you choose to create a Wolf Portrait, your photo is sent to Black Forest Labs (BFL) for AI-powered pixel art generation. The photo is processed and not stored by us beyond the generation session. BFL's processing is governed by their own privacy policy.
Legal basis: Your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), obtained before the photo is uploaded.
Sharing
If you choose to share your result, we generate a pre-written message with your compatibility score. The share links open X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or Telegram in a new window. We do not transmit any data to these platforms — you decide what to post.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels)
No advertising cookies
No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties for marketing
No profiling for automated decision-making with legal effects
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Anthropic (Claude API) — processes conversations with Case. Based in the US. Data processing agreement in place. Anthropic Privacy Policy
Black Forest Labs — processes portrait photos for pixel art generation. BFL Privacy Policy
Resend — delivers lead notification emails to our team. Does not store your data. Resend Privacy Policy
Google Fonts — serves the Space Mono typeface. Google may log font requests. Google Privacy Policy
Vercel — hosts the site. Standard server logs (IP, user agent) are retained briefly. Vercel Privacy Policy
DATA RETENTION
Local storage data persists in your browser until you clear it. Conversation transcripts sent to our team are retained for as long as necessary to evaluate and respond to potential enquiries, then deleted. Portrait images are not stored after generation.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Withdraw consent for portrait photo processing at any time
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)
